Processed on your device

WaveCraft never uploads your files. Decoding, every effect and the final MP3 or WAV are handled inside your browser with the Web Audio API and a background worker. Close the tab and the audio is gone from memory.

If you use the studio, your current session and any projects you save are kept in your browser’s own storage (IndexedDB) on your device, so a refresh does not lose your work. We cannot see them. You can delete saved projects from the studio’s start screen, or clear the site’s data in your browser settings.

No tracking

We do not track you. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on WaveCraft, no tracking cookies and no account to sign up for. We cannot see your files, we do not know what you are editing, and we never have access to your exports.

The only things kept are on your own device: your current session and saved projects in your browser’s storage, and your theme and control-level choices. You can clear them at any time from your browser settings.

Like every website, our host keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP address and the page requested) to keep the service secure and working.

GDPR and security

WaveCraft is GDPR compliant because your personal data and audio are never stored or sent anywhere by us.

The security of your own device is still up to you: use an up-to-date browser, keep your system free of malware, and save your exports somewhere safe.
