About the Vocal Remover
WaveCraft’s spectral centre-extraction removes the lead vocal (usually mixed dead centre) while leaving bass, kick and stereo instruments untouched.
How to use it
- Drop an audio file (MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC) or a video into the box.
- Pick a preset or adjust the controls — strength and focus. Hit play to hear it live and use “Compare” to hear the original.
- Download as MP3 or WAV. Nothing is uploaded: the processing runs on your device.
Questions
Why can I still hear some vocal?
Reverb and stereo effects on the vocal are not in the centre, so traces remain. Raise “Focus” and strength, or accept a little bleed.
Does it work on mono files?
No — it needs a stereo mix because it compares the left and right channels.
Is WaveCraft free?
Yes. Every tool is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no file limits.
Are my files uploaded?
No. All processing happens in your browser on your own device, so your audio never leaves your computer or phone.
