About the 8D Audio
Real 8D audio uses head-related transfer functions (HRTF) to place the sound around you, not just left and right. Put on headphones and press play.
How to use it
- Drop an audio file (MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC) or a video into the box.
- Pick a preset or adjust the controls — rotation speed, width and room. Hit play to hear it live and use “Compare” to hear the original.
- Download as MP3 or WAV. Nothing is uploaded: the processing runs on your device.
Questions
Do I need headphones?
Yes — 8D effects rely on each ear hearing something different. On speakers it just sounds like gentle panning.
What makes this different from panning?
The “Orbit” mode moves the sound in front of and behind you using HRTF, so it feels like it circles your head.
Is WaveCraft free?
Yes. Every tool is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no file limits.
Are my files uploaded?
No. All processing happens in your browser on your own device, so your audio never leaves your computer or phone.
